crisp ride last night

Didn't realize Eric had rode a lap before meeting at the shop. Picked up Brian at the kiosk. Saw a first timer trying to find his way back to the kiosk. A reminder that everyday is a gift to unwrap a new ride, a new street, new dirt.

Andreas started riding with us this summer, spending much of his time in the small ring. Seeing he was riding a lot in the middle ring/smaller cogs, suggested he try the big ring and the bigger to middle cogs of the cassette for the flats and downhills. Big revelation! Cool to be around to see the joy and excitement when riders discover a new technique or skill that improves the ride!

Fall colors starting to show
dressed warmer
riding in the shadow of a setting sun
backlighting the east bluff of the big papillion creek.

Though we are riding the same trail
the environment changes quickly this season of life.

As the ride becomes darker and the city lights shine brighter
the train of lights snaking through the topography
a different ride experience.
It is as if we are riding a different location
yet we are still at home.
