late thanks for club racers at Lewis and Clark

Last week was very busy as the shop prepared to support Bike Ride Across Nebraska this week. We loaded and hauled out over 30 bikes.

Backfilling the employees on the ride has most of us working all six days this week.
Now to the late thanks for Micah in 1st in Junior 10-12, Jesse in 1st in Junior 13-15, Jacob in 1st in Junior 16-18, Devan, coming in 2nd out of 8 in Cat 3 open, Dave coming in 9 out of 16 in Cat 3 35+, Craig coming in 2nd out of 12 in Cat 3 45+. I came in 7 out of 8 in Cat 2 45+.

Devan almost had his first win of the season, only one second out of first. Take away one of his three crashes and he will get it next time. Great job for his fourth time on the trail.

Craig is in one of the most competitive classes this year. He was 30 seconds out of first with 3 guys behind him within 30 seconds. Great ride for it being his first time on the trail!

Dave is stepping it up this year in the sprint race that Cat 3 is. He yo-yoed with some racers before passing them on Neverest.

The 3 laps for Cat 2 had me hurting, yo-yoing among two or three riders till the last lap when I was able to gap them on the climbs and hold on, though only one of the riders was in my class. It was a "testing of the body" going hard and then finding enough trail to recover before the next big effort.

Special thanks goes to Ryan, Roxy, Tim, Donna, John, Dale, Danna, Leah, Jesse, Steve, Andy who stepped into the gap to put on the race. Though I still raced, 5 BMCC members gave up their opportunity in order that everyone else had an opportunity to race. Kudos.

Ditto! Much thanks to all that helped that day. It was a bit hectic but we pulled it off in fine fashion!
