recap monday's tp ride

A little late but I wanted to mention riding singletrack Monday, the day without rain. Brian and Will showed up with their Bianchi ss's. Kevin, a transplant from CA, came out for his first ride at Tranquility. He's been off the bike for a year and now has some time to get back into it. Saw several other bikers and a couple of runners. Doug came up to us about half way through our lap. He was on lap 4. The pace was not so casual so Kevin was happy with one lap. We get started on the next lap and stop at the parking lot to talk with Mark who was finishing up, and Doug.

There is a wet spot exiting the Fort St forest. The three of us helped Doug load his car with 12 cement blocks to armor the trail and let the water flow over. The blocks were heavy enough that we carried one at a time and walked the 100+ yards from Fort St park entrance. Having multiple hands and feet really encouraged Doug, saving him many more treks on sore feet.

Thanks for the help, the blocks are now inlaid in the trail and a drainage knick now runs off the side.

With all the rain I ended up doing a little benching.
