Well I am finally happy to report that the first leg of the Tranquility trail rerouting has begun. The big climb now has a much longer route up the hill full of switch backs and grade reversals to help address the erosion problem. The new section is not nearly as steep and there are recovery grades along the way. However, since this is brand new it will require a couple easier gears to get up until the trail becomes worn in and smoothed out. A big thanks to Dave Marsden who helped me mow today and I encourage everyone to start using the new path both directions. It is well flagged but bumpy and needs to be rode in. I will fill in ruts and shave off rough edges soon. Flagging of the big downhill rerouting should begin within the next week or so. Thanks for your patience.
