TraNqUiliTy Update

Another continuing section of new trail has been added, flagged and partially mowed starting at the top of the big hill and descending into the South valley (down to the skating rink) and back up to tie into the existing trail. The new sections while rough, are certainly ridable and mowing will continue over the next couple of days. It sounds like there is going to be quite a bit of work going on down at Swanson soon too. Take advantage of the cooler temps to get out for an off road ride.

Lets hope the Huskers can hold OSU to less than 40 points this weekend! Husker nation is now suffering from Husker Hemorrhoids... "The Power of Red" equates to a used AAA battery righ now. Thank God for mountain biking!

Rode the first reroute Monday, you and Dave did a lot of mowing!! You probably tripled the distance to the top. I plan to go out later this afternoon with the weed trimmer and cut the grass down to the ground. I will bring a hulahole and mcleoud to smooth out some of those plow furrows if I have the time.

Thanks for all the work guys, I'm anxious to ride the new routes! Putting out a request for the TNR to be here this week, would be good to get some traffic on the new sections.

To the top of the hill, Leah and I took almost 2 hrs trimming the tread to the ground and raking. Except for shaping work needed on the worst bumps, it is in good shape.

Did a less thorough job down to the ice rink and part way back.

Saw the mtbgoatheads and several other bikers out there last night.
