Race confusion

Ok i read the nebraska cycling story for the race, and it refered me to the evcc web site for more info on lap numbers start time etc. The EVCC web site says and here is the quote
"Start Times:
10:00am All Beginner and Junior Fields
11:20am Kids Race
12:00pm All Sport & Expert Fields
Laps (Still subject to change based on weather conditions)
Juniors & Beginner Clydesdale & Beginner Women - 1 lap
Beginner Men - 2 laps
Sport Men & Expert/Pro Women - 3 laps
Expert/Pro Men - 4 laps
Course will be mostly marked late Friday PM, with complete marking done Saturday AM.

so the beginner clydes, beginner women etc are going to do 1 lap while the rest of the beginners are going to do 2? I m kind of disappointed that I (beginner clyde) only get to do 1 lap while the rest of the beginners are doing 2. before you say it, yes i am moving up to sport next year. Also, this sounds confusing for the racers as well as the time keepers etc. Sorry to be a pain, but I just want to get the info correct.

That is unusual to have different classes in Beginner doing different lap counts, but that is upto the host club.

Dave, did you see the Wednesday weather forecasts 100 without heat index on Saturday?

You have a couple options:
If you want to do a second lap, I think they will let you but score you on the first. You could do a warmup lap also to get more mileage in.

Or you could ask the others in Beginner Clyde if all want to do two laps. If yes, ask the race director in the racer's meeting for two.

They probably have Clydes at one lap to keep the slower riders from a 1.5 hr race. I did a race pace lap at 30 minutes. Assuming I'm faster by 5 mins, you are looking at a 70 min race for the winner which is high for Beginner.
