We tossed this around at the mnr and would like to get a group together wed night (tonight the 29th) for a mock cat 3 race. Meet at the trail head @ 6 and we will ride back to the start/finish area. This an unofficial, un-scored, no prize practice race for anyone that would like to join in. It will be a good opportunity for new racers to ride race pace in a group. I am going to hang out to get lap times to see how things compare with last year.Hope to see ya there! Chris

I like this idea since the course is longer for cat 3 this year. I'm guessing two laps for males will put most over 1 hour, but how far? Or this mock race may prove otherwise. Can't wait to find out.

guys,
I did some race pace laps, and finshed 2 of them in 1 hour 14 mins. you can use that as a guide for what time a fat slow guy (me) will do 2 laps in.
Yes, Devan was the only one to break an hour. With the course changes from last year, cat 3 lap times are probably 5+ minutes longer.
