Rode the first lap by myself and talked to a couple other riders - Kirk, his first time to Tranquility, and Mike who brought him. Always am encouraged to see new people at TP. Kirk is starting to ride regularly so the hills were challenging.

Rode a lap with Doug. His legs were shot from the 5hr race in Kansas Saturday with Mark (see cruisetheblues topic a couple weeks ago). Doug really enjoyed the race and atmosphere. He wants to go back next year.

People have been cutting a corner in the meadows (west of the nursery) so we put down trees and yellow tape to keep people on the trail. This doesn't look nice but it needs to be done.

I understand people cutting the corner to maintain speed but we need to ride on the uphill side of the tree so the trail has a grade reversal and jetisons rain water off the tread.

Ran into Dan, Brian, and another whose name I forgot. Dan won the beginner open at ttt. Brian was on a rigid ss with 40+ psi in the tires. We dropped the psi and the ride was much more enjoyable for him. He had lost a chainring bolt so we went to the shop and fixed it.

Finally, on the last half lap I rode with Joel who moved from Des Moines and was surprise and excited at mtb scene we have in Omaha/CB.

We are fortunate to have the different trails with their different personalities and the THOR volunteers to build and maintain them.
