Trail day at TP this Saturday

For those interested we will meet in the North parking lot at Tranquility at 9:00 Saturday morning for a short trail day. The trail is in relatively good shape now but we want to knock the sharp edges off of some of the rutted older sections for the upcoming race. Therefore the new revised tool list only includes Mcleods, shovels and bikes. After a couple hours work we will call it good and do some riding. Thanks.

Last night was the first time I've rode TP in 3 weeks and it is in the best shape I've seen out there.

Besides a little edging, one place we might want to work on is the entrance to the pines at Fort St. The water comes off the road and overruns the trail.

Putting big logs on the outside of the corner from the pines past were the drainage trench has cut into the trail, widening the drainage trench and putting that dirt on the logs should channel the water around the trail. Shovels, saw, and maybe a pick should be all the tools needed.

I will try and get out there earlier on Saturday to clean out a couple nicks on the interior climb. Hopefully, I can be done with those and at the parking lot by 9 and start working Fort St before I have to work at 10.
