Ok. Here is my dream. The warm temps thaw the trails, or even one trail.
The wind dries it out. By the time I get off at noon next saturday, there is dirt to ride. I grow very tired of riding in sand and salt, or long runs for that matter.
So is this a dream that could come true, or am I fooling myself?

I think as long as frost is in the ground, riding singletrack above freezing will be soft and slimy.
My guess is your dream will not come true. 8-(
Dream On
One of my first 8 track tapes was dream on by aerosmith.
As someone else said, where there is no vision, the people perish.
Keep on dreaming and hoping Dan. You will be riding dirt pretty soon. Keep the faith.
1X9, I look forward to riding some dirt with you. Your not going to drop us on the first ride back are you? It will be fun to try to chase you again.
Aerosmith? hippies
8 track? old hippies.
1x9, thanks for encouraging others when you are laid up at home. Also looking forward to riding with you when the body is healed and ready.
Im with you Dan first the gym was getting boring, and now riding on the road is loosing its charm> The train cant dry out fast enough.
I was driving by Tranq Wed afternoon and saw a couple unloading bikes on the paved road. They didn't drive down into the parking lot because it was too muddy, yet they were going to ride the trail???
I stopped by and asked and they said they were going to ride the trail. I said you can't, it's too muddy. Off road won't be rideable till the frost is out of the ground.
There was water coming out of the woods and running down the driveway right by their car, I saw part of the trail still under ice and some under water by the road.
I probably should have not stopped, let them load there bikes up with mudd and maybe they would learn through experience.
I walked over to Tranq yesterday early PM. The trail is still very soft and slimy. People are riding it though. There are "wagon train" ruts in the trails by the creek.
