I was searching around and found some information on the upcoming race. This is quoted directly from the evcc website.
"Riders will be divided into Beginner and Sport/Expert categories, much like the Norfolk Time Trial and Criterium races. The Sport/Export riders will start off a five minutes ahead of the Beginner group and men and women will race together but scored separately.
Beginners will do two lap while Sport/Expert classes will do three laps; course length may be adjusted at race time. Junior riders may race an abbreviated race course to be determined at race time.
Helmets are mandatory! Gloves, protective eye wear, insect repellent and adequate hydration are also strongly encouraged.
For the Maskenthine Mayhem series, races will start at Trailhead II, which is in the center of Maskenthine Lake Recreation area and accessed via the north entrance. Riders will be started south of the trailhead on the gravel road and sprint to the entrance to the singletrack and begin the loop heading north down the hill toward the technical section. The finish line will be the exit out of the trees at Trailhead II."
This makes it sound like the beginner and experts will start 5 minutes apart, and lap counts will be 2 for beginner, and 3 for sport/expert. Has anyone heard different, am I just reading it wrong?

Interesting. That would be a big departure from the published Psycowpath race day schedule. I wonder if everyone will find out in time so they don't show up at 8:00am to get ready for the beginners race.
I'm pretty sure you got the wrong info. This link seems to say otherwise. http://www.nebraskacyclingnews.com/content/view/753/190/
