Tranquility Ride

Hey all:

Well, we missed out on some rain last night, just a lightning show. The trail is still dry and dusty. Temps in the mid 90's will make it a hot one! I'm running a little lower gear 38x22 (about a 32x19) to increase my cadence and make it easier in the heat.

We leave Bike Masters at 6.

If you want to post or comment on the blog, send me your blog account email address. If you don't have a google blog account, just go to the bmcc blog, click on a "comments" link at the end of a article. Click on the "Sign up here" link under the password box and follow the instructions.

Then send me (tpmbt[at]cox[dot]net) the email address used for the account and I will invite you to join the blog in order to post on it.

Any questions, let me know.

Enjoy the ride!

Thanks to you who showed for the good turnout tonight. Sometimes we get more riders in the 90's than when it's in the 70's.

We had about 10 people ride down and half were on ss's. Ran into another 5 or 6 from the parking lot. Seems that groups form around 2-4 riders. The group I was with put in about 2.5 laps, the last one clockwise.

Just wanted to add that we were able to practice some trailside repairs last night.

One rider was using a SRAM Power Link with a shimano chain instead of the shimano pin. The two chains have slight differences so if you want the ease of breaking a chain via the power link, you need to use it with a SRAM chain.
